Cycling, Germany Tour 2022: prologue in Weimar, royal stage in Breisgau – cycling

The bike race, which will be extended from four to five days, covers a total of 710 kilometers and more than 11,000 meters in altitude. The organizers announced this at the route presentation of the Deutschland Tour. After the starting signal on August 24 in Weimar, the course leads via the destinations of Meiningen, Marburg and the mountain finish at the Schauinsland mountain station to Stuttgart.

The Deutschland Tour was relaunched in 2018 by the Tour de France organizer ASO after a ten-year break. Last year, Tour stage winner Nils Politt (Cologne) from the German team Bora-hansgrohe celebrated his first overall victory on the home tour.
