Colombian Brandon Rivera suffered a broken elbow in the fall. In addition, the affected elbow and shoulder were dislocated, the team announced on Thursday.
Bernal suffered even more serious injuries when he fell on Monday. The Giro winner collided with a bus during training. He suffered fractures to a vertebra, his right thigh, his right kneecap and several ribs, as well as a lung injury.
After two operations, he is on the mend, said the La Sabana University Hospital, where the 25-year-old is being cared for in the intensive care unit.
