Cvancara, who still has a contract until 2028, was considered at the end of the season as a candidate for departure at Gladbach. During the summer break there was a conversation between the 24-year-old, its representatives and the club. “We discussed the situation with Tomas and his consultants-and we came to the conclusion that Tomas will start a new attack with us. He has a huge potential that we continue to believe,” reported sports manager Roland Virkus. This project apparently only lasted for a short time.

For the Gladbacher, a loan should also be linked to the hope that Cvancara in the Süper Lig could come back to more playing time and find back to his form of days gone by. The eleven of the Lower Rhine had transferred 10.5 million euros to Sparta Prague for the services of the striker. Since then, however, there have only been ten goal participations in 54 games. For comparison: For Prague, he had scored 24 times in 49 missions and prepared seven more goals. This development was also noticeable in its market value. After the change in the meantime, Cvancara is currently only valued at EUR 3 million.

It is not only since the departure of Pléa Gladbach is looking for fresh forces for the attack, but the financial situation did not allow transfers beforehand.
