Customers with peanut allergies, beware: Delhaize and Albert Heijn recall dips with pesto | Interior

Supermarket chains Delhaize and Albert Heijn are recalling various dips with pesto because the products may contain peanuts that are not stated on the packaging. Customers with peanut allergies are requested not to eat the products and to return them to the store.

For Delhaize, this concerns the ‘Cheese & pesto dip 90g’ of the Delhaize brand, with EAN code 5400119578226 and a minimum shelf life until 10/03/2023. The product was sold from February 20 to 21, 2023.

“In the meantime, Delhaize has already removed every affected product from the store and tightened the controls,” it says in a press release. The chain asks its customers who are allergic to peanuts not to consume the product and to return it to the point of sale. Consumers who are not allergic to peanuts can consume the dip without risk. If you have any questions, you can contact customer service on the free number 0800/95 713.

Albert Heijn is involved in three private label products, sold through February 21. It concerns AH trio sauce (honey mustard sauce, tartar sauce and pesto mayonnaise) best before 10-03-2023, AH spread and dips green pesto (best before 10-03-2023) and AH hummus pesto (best before until 09-03-2023). Here too, customers can return the products in question and receive a refund of the purchase price. If you would like more information, please contact the contact point on 0800/777 05.
