Cursing forbidden: This is how Dave Grohl complied with the law in Abu Dhabi

A certain note was supposed to keep Grohl out of major trouble at the Foo Fighters gig in Abu Dhabi.

Anyone who uses the “F-word” in Abu Dhabi faces up to a year in prison. Dave Grohl also had to stick to this during the Foo Fighters concert on November 26th. To constantly remind him of the ban, a note was even placed on the stage in front of his feet.

“Don’t swear” was written twice, in English and in capital letters, on the A4 piece of paper, which he later attached to his microphone. “I think this is the first time ever,” Dave Grohl commented on his success in not swearing at a concert.

This is what the warning on stage looked like:

Grohl also stated that Taylor Hawkins “would have loved” this information sheet. He would also dream about the band’s drummer, who died in 2022, three times a week. “I dreamed about him last night that he was bald and had a ponytail. “I swear to God, I really dreamed that,” he said live on stage before dedicating the Foo Fighters hit “Everlong” to Hawkins.

Dave Grohl will soon be able to curse on stage again: The Foo Fighters start their tour in Australia on November 29th. There are currently no concerts planned in Germany as part of the tour.
