Edson Álvarez will return to Ajax’s basic team in the cup final against PSV on Sunday. The Mexican was missing a week earlier in Eindhoven in the league match between the two clubs due to a suspension. Ajax then lost 3-0 and dropped to third place.
Álvarez takes Calvin Bassey’s place in the center of defense. Jurriën Timber is the other central defender and Jorge Sánchez and Jorrel Hato are the full backs.
Mohammed Kudus resumed training on Friday after three weeks of absence due to an injury. Trainer John Heitinga hoped to have the Ghanaian back in the selection against Feyenoord, but he is not fit enough.
Dusan Tadic starts in De Kuip as an attacking midfielder with Florian Grillitsch and Davy Klaassen next to him. Kenneth Taylor is suspended. Brian Brobbey can try it in the rush hour and receives support from Steven Berghuis and Steven Bergwijn from the flanks.
