SG Sonnenhof Großaspach wins the final in the state cup. But then the evening ends with a shock for one player.

After the state cup final between the Stuttgarter Kickers and SG Sonnenhof Großaspach, a Großaspach player fell victim to an attack. The police are investigating several suspected perpetrators who, according to previous findings, were wearing Stuttgarter Kickers fan clothing.

Accordingly, the 30-year-old footballer was on the way to his car in a parking lot with his father a few hours after his team’s 4-1 victory on Saturday evening when a group is said to have chased him.

Incidents during the game

According to police, he lost his cell phone and wallet during the escape. One of the pursuers took the items. Shortly afterwards, several men are said to have hit the player and kicked him. The 30-year-old’s sports bag was also snatched. His 65-year-old father suffered minor injuries while trying to help his son.

Problems had already arisen during the final. Shortly before the end, Stuttgarter Kickers supporters wanted to get onto the pitch and threw objects onto the grass. The match therefore had to be interrupted for a few minutes in front of 8,520 spectators. Both teams went into the locker room before the game could be ended.
