FIRST HALF – “We weren’t able to develop our game, in the second half we did something different, raising the technical level. The boys took on their responsibilities and we managed to play better as we wanted.”
TURN AT INTERVAL – “I wanted to try to raise the level of competitiveness and attention, to win the second balls. This is an important thing, I showed the spaces available and thought about how to make the most of our team’s qualities. The boys’ reaction was excellent, they did it with clarity. It wasn’t a question of being proactive, we weren’t able to be clear and do things well. We tried anyway.”
VICTORY – “The match didn’t start the way we wanted. They managed to score and put pressure on us, we didn’t have the technical clarity. We weren’t able to come back as we wanted. In the first half, however, we improved, after the break we managed to improve further. When the sending off occurred we had more time and more space to turn the ball over and create more danger. We know the importance of these three points, but now we have to recover and think about the match against Napoli.”
GROWTH – “We had a situation like this against Lazio: while we struggled to create chances with them, today we attacked a low block and I hope it is an important step for our growth. Let’s maintain humility, on Wednesday we go to Naples with the desire to put in a great performance. The boys must recover as best they can in view of this complicated match. The wingers changed their tasks over the course of the 90 minutes: in some situations, we managed to do it better and in others not. We are improving and we must do it even more.”
