Cuba Gooding Jr. settles rape case | show

Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. has settled the rape case brought against him. According to American media, this became clear on Tuesday just before the case was due to start in New York. Details of the settlement have not been disclosed.

A woman accused the Jerry Maguire actor of raping her in 2013 and demanded compensation. Gooding, 55, has always denied the allegation and said the two had consensual sex.

The trial was set to begin Tuesday with jury selection. However, it then became clear that the parties came out of court together.

The actor was also previously accused of sexual misconduct. Last year he pleaded guilty in a sexual assault case. Because Gooding had met the terms of his plea deal, he was not given a prison sentence. However, the actor had to undergo therapy.
