Crystal Palace fans disturb the minute’s silence for Diogo Jota

The game between the “Reds” and the Londoners should be all about memory of the fatally crashed star. But before the game there is an unsightly moment.
In front of the English community Shield between Liverpool and Crystal Palace, the minute’s silence was disturbed for the fatally crashed Liverpool stars Diogo Jota. Loud calls could be heard from the block of the Londoners during the silent memory on Sunday afternoon. The campaign caused the minute’s silence to end prematurely-many Liverpool fans reacted with whistles towards the Palace fans.
According to information on site, only a small part of the Crystal Palace fans took part in the fault. Liverpool trainer Arne Slot tried to defuse the situation after the game-and showed greatness: “I don’t think that was planned,” said the Dutch at the press conference, referring to a fan that apparently triggered the disorder.
“Perhaps he hadn’t noticed that the minute’s silence was held. He was simply looking forward to the game and wanted to cheer on his team. And then the Palace fans tried to calm the person or the people.” Even more: “I don’t think there was a bad intention behind it.”
The commemoration before the kick-off of the super cup was characterized by great emotion: Liverpool legend Ian Rush, FA-chairwoman Debbie Hewitt and Crystal Palace boss Steve Parish put wreaths from fans of the “Reds” on the lawn. Jota died in a car accident in northern Spain on July 3. His brother André Silva, who was sitting in the car, also died.
