Crowded trains and major nuisance due to a nine -day track strike: NMBS viewing whether capacity “where necessary” can be strengthened

Only today, on the first working day of the nine -day track strike; let the consequences really feel for the commuters. Today only two in five IC trains runs. With the L and Ondroor STRAPERS, the frequency is even more limited: only one in four trains runs. The P-trains, during the morning and evening rush hour, are almost completely deleted. The trains that do run were overcrowded during rush hour. The NMBS acknowledges the problem and looks at whether it is possible, where necessary, to strengthen the capacity in the coming days.
