Frida Karlsson is preparing intensively for the coming winter in the ski cross -country skiing. Her training last led the 26-year-old to France, where she met Sweden’s national biathlon national team.

“She didn’t live with us, but she was there in some training sessions, definitely,” said shooting trainer Jean-Marc Chabloz compared to the TV station “SVT”. Karlsson, for example, had the physiotherapists of the biathlon team treated, he said.

According to Chabloz, Karlsson also used the favor of the hour to try out at the shooting range. “She understood it pretty quickly, clearly,” the biathlon coach attested the necessary talent of the long-term runner.

According to Chabloz, Karlsson will also be welcome in the biathlon team in the future.

“If she wants, the door is always open to her. We are very open to everything, so that’s not a problem,” said the shooting trainer. However, the digression in France was “more of fun”, he made it clear at the same time.

Means: Karlsson is currently not planning a change from ski cross -country skiing to biathlon.

The 26-year-old was able to celebrate some successes in her career. At the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, the Scandinavian won the bronze medal over 4×5 kilometers with the season.

Karlsson is also triple world champion in ski cross -country skiing. At the past World Cup in Trondheim (Norway), she triumphed over 50 km freestyle. In the season over 4 × 7.5 km, gold jumped out last winter. As early as 2019, Karlsson in Seefeld (Austria) was at the top of the 4×5 kilometers at the top of the podium.

The cross-country season 2025/26 begins on November 28th in Ruka in Finnish.
