It is perhaps the least visible part of our democracy: the Senate. Yet the Senate has enormous power: laws can be defeated and cabinets can be stumbled by them. But according to opinion maker and former lawyer Bram Moszkowicz, it is time to put an end to it and abolish the Senate. Moskowicz wonders what the added value is of a body consisting of part-time politicians and splitters. Because who actually controls who, and what is the added value of this?
