A British model accuses Glover of assault, manipulation and forced eviction. The star denies all allegations.
Actor Crispin Glover, known from “Back to the Future,” is on trial for alleged bodily harm, unlawful eviction and infliction of emotional distress. Glover firmly denies the allegations.
According to the indictment, he is said to have manipulated a model from the United Kingdom, made her work for him without pay and then locked her out of his home and physically assaulted her.
Getting to know each other via social media
The plaintiff told the court that she allegedly met the Hollywood star via social media in 2015, after which he wrote to her regularly. According to her, at a meeting in Dresden in 2023, he showed her his memorabilia from National Socialism. Despite this encounter, she is said to have maintained contact.
Promise and move to Los Angeles
In 2024, Glover promised her an apartment in Silver Lake, an assistant job and contacts in Hollywood. She then gave up her apartment in Europe and moved to Los Angeles. Without social contacts in the USA, Crispin Glover allegedly forced her to live with him and be his girlfriend – he held her and monitored her entire social life, she described in the trial.
Incident on March 2, 2024
The plaintiff stated that she wanted to leave the house on March 2, 2024 to go to a mosque. Glover then allegedly threatened to lock her out if she left – which, according to her, he did when she returned. Since her cats were still in the apartment, she tried to break into the house. Crispin Glover allegedly physically attacked her. Photos of the woman show a wound and a scar that the actor is said to have inflicted on her. She also claims that he gave the police a false statement and reported her as a burglar.
Conflicting statements about the police operation
Law enforcement told TMZ that police received a call that day but made no arrests. The mime reported an assault by a man and a woman. This would contradict the account given by a spokesman for the actor, who testified in the trial that the plaintiff was arrested that day. Crispin Glover then obtained an injunction against the British model.
The woman is now suing Glover for damages. He has not yet commented publicly on the trial.
