The shelter is located in the middle of the village and is a former library and sports hall. Because the sports hall is not used during the holiday period, it is possible to place 75 units with two beds each. “We could also have placed 150 camp beds, but we think this is just a bit more humane, people also have a bit more privacy,” says Etienne van den Elzen, who is responsible for the shelter in Horst aan de Maas.
