Prosegue on Rai 3 – tonight at 9.20pm – the new season of Criminal lovethe program that has been telling stories since 2007 stories of feminicide and family homicides. At the helm of the program is the actress Veronica Pivettiformer host of the show from 2017 to 2021. In tonight’s episode it will be reconstructed the murder of Carlo Domenico Lo Duca, a Sicilian entrepreneur killed by his wife and her loveras well as Lo Duca’s best friend, in 2019.

Created by the journalist Matilde D’Errico, Criminal love tells, in each episode, stories of murders matured within the family. The story is reconstructed through a docu-fiction, on the one hand, and testimonies from family members and friends of the victim and of people involved in the news case, on the other.
The presenter’s interventions keep the threads of the story going which serves as narrator voice: summarizes the story and provides further details. Over the course of the many editions, in the role followed by Camila Raznovich, the actresses Barbara De Rossi, Asia Argento, Luisa Ranieri. Veronica Pivetti returns to the helm after the last two seasons presented by TG1 journalist Emma D’Aquino.

Tonight’s episode December 10th: the story of Carlo Domenico Lo Duca
38 year old agricultural entrepreneur from Termini Imeresein the province of Palermo, Carlo Domenico Lo Duca passed away on 31 January 2019. Married to Luana Cammalleri and father of two children, he was loved by everyonehe had no enemies but above all he had no reason to distance himself from his family. The parents immediately report the disappearance but the investigators initially stumble in the dark and are unable to find concrete elements to solve the mystery of the disappearance.
The turning point comes in the spring of 2022: the police arrest his wife Luana and Pietro Ferrara, Carlo’s best friend and the woman’s clandestine lover. There are numerous clues against them, collected through telephone and environmental interceptions, analysis of records and video surveillance systems.
According to the accusations, they had planned Carlo’s murder for some time. For the investigators, they lured the victim to Palermo on land owned by the arrested person and then killed him and dispose of the body. They subsequently took the businessman’s car, a gray Golf “GT”, 12 kilometers from the point where the crime would have taken place, to throw the investigators off track. Tried for murder and concealment of a corpse, Luana and Pietro were sentenced to life imprisonment in the first instance last April while Carlo’s body has not yet been found.

«When they asked me to take the helm of the program again, I was very happy». These the words of Veronica Pivetti at the press conference presentation of the new season. The actress then continued: «I am very fond of Criminal Lovenot only for the emotional involvement, which is powerful, but also for the possibility of feeling like testimonials of a battle that must never end».
However, for the actress and presenter, commitments are not limited to this program. Indeed, in recent weeks, is in Ancona on the set of Whalesa new Rai drama which sees her as the protagonist alongside Carla Signoris. The story is that of two old friends who haven’t seen each other for a long time. One bourgeois, the other nonconformist, they are brought closer together by the death of another friend. Little by little, secrets hidden for too long will emerge.
