Credit bureau entry: We clear up myths and misconceptions about the protection community for general loan security

Apply for a Schufa self-assessment

Do you want to know what data Schufa has stored about you or which companies have requested information about your personal data? Then you can request a so-called Schufa self-assessment. You have several options for this.

Data copy (according to Art. 15 GDPR): You can easily request this self-assessment online. Here you will find all the information that Schufa has stored about you, where it came from and to whom it was forwarded. The data copy is free and will be sent to your home by post. For data protection reasons, there is no possibility of receiving this online, for example by e-mail.

mySCHUFA compact: Here you can view your data online directly in the portal. There are also extras such as credit ratings that are updated daily, notifications by SMS or email if someone requests your data, personal advice and a form center that offers you extra help with topics such as rent, loans and the like. However, this is not free of charge: the service costs 3.95 euros per month at Schufa and 9.95 euros once for activation. However, if you need a Schufa credit check, you pay around 10 euros less with this package.

mySCHUFA plus: This offer offers the same services as the compact package, but should also offer more security against identity theft through additional monitoring. There is also a 24-hour hotline and support in cleaning up traces of identity abuse on the Internet. This service costs EUR 4.95 per month plus the one-time activation fee of EUR 9.95.

Our recommendation: As a rule, the free Schufa self-disclosure is completely sufficient for the average consumer. However, if you like additional extras and want to access your data online, you can use the pay versions of Schufa.
