Creative protest – fans let go of the robo-cars

Like the two second division games, the game between Cologne and Bremen was interrupted due to protests against the DFL investor. The fans came up with something new.

The Bundesliga game between 1. FC Cologne and SV Werder Bremen was also briefly interrupted due to fans’ protests against the planned investor entry into the German Football League.

In a statement at midday, 1. FC Cologne called for another vote on the entry of an investor. The Cologne team submitted their application in a letter to the DFL executive committee, as the Bundesliga club confirmed on Friday.

The decision of December 11, 2023 for a negotiation and conclusion mandate stands “on a very fragile foundation,” wrote the FC management in a letter that was also sent to the 35 other clubs organized in the DFL. Fans distributed leaflets in the stadium under the motto “Who owns football? No to investors in the DFL”.
