Crash means end of Dakar William de Groot: ‘Need surgery on hand’

The marathon stage on Thursday and Friday still reverberates loudly in the field of participants of the Dakar Rally. William de Groot overturned his truck and that meant the end of the race for him. Not only did his truck sustain significant damage, De Groot himself also emerged from the battle unscathed. He is injured in his hand and needs surgery. Anja van Loon is still in the rally, although the difference was very close and that did not even have to do with her truck overturning. Janus van Kasteren remained on four wheels on this eighth day of the rally, but lost time again and seems to have forgotten about a final victory.
