The invitation to the Federations comes from Coni president Luciano Buonfiglio: it starts tonight with Cagliari-Milan

The Swiss tragedy has left its mark throughout the world and has also shaken the sporting world, given that among the dead and injured there are many young people who practiced different disciplines. For this reason, the president of CONI, Luciano Buonfiglio, invited the National Sports Federations, the Associated Sports Disciplines and the Sports Promotion Bodies to observe a minute’s silence at all the sporting events that will take place in Italy over the weekend, to commemorate the young athletes who were victims of the serious disaster that occurred in Crans-Montana on New Year’s Eve.

this evening

The invitation was immediately accepted by all the federations, starting from the FIGC: thus, the minute of silence will be observed already this evening in the advance match of the Serie A championship which will see the Cagliari-Milan match at the Unipol Domus.
