The Hamburg regional court has made a decision in ticket trading. FC St. Pauli supporters have to take a closer look when making online purchases.

Bundesliga soccer team FC St Pauli has initially won in court against a ticket provider. That shared that Hamburg Regional Court with. The club had filed a lawsuit against an internet platform selling tickets for the club’s home games.

There was also no indication that tickets purchased via the online ticket exchange would no longer be valid at FC St. Pauli. The lack of information is misleading (file number 415 HKO 73/24).

Owners of tickets for cultural and sporting events can sell their tickets to third parties on the defendant internet platform. According to the ruling, the provider is now prohibited from enabling the sale of tickets for FC St. Pauli’s Bundesliga home games, without pointing out that tickets purchased via the platform “in principle do not entitle you to attend the respective event organized by the plaintiff”. The verdict is not yet final and an appeal to the Higher Regional Court is possible.
