The Khamovniki Court of Moscow summoned Anatoly Chubais, the former special representative of the President of Russia for sustainable development, to testify in the case of the theft of his property for 70 million rubles, he is being treated as a victim in the case. About it TASS said the lawyer of one of the defendants in the case, Vyacheslav Makarov.
The lawyer said that on April 6, the third hearing of the case took place, after the announcement of the indictment, the accused again declared their innocence. The court then summoned Chubais to a hearing on April 27. “As it became known to us, he does not answer calls from the court, his phone is unavailable, the victim does not pick up the summons,” Makarov said.
According to the lawyer, Chubais was summoned to court for the first time during the consideration of the case.

We are talking about a criminal case that was opened about five years ago – in 2017. Chubais’s former company SFO Concept, which was headed by the brother of his longtime adviser Ilya Suchkov, undertook to build a house in the village of Peredelki in the Odintsovo district. Chubais sued the company and said that he was being extorted for this house inflated amount. The company found itself in debt, Suchkov offered creditors to buy the house for $36 million, but the British Knight Frank valued it at $12.55 million. Later, these cases were combined with the case of the disappearance of property belonging to Chubais from the mansion. According to the defense, nothing was stolen from the house.
