Appeal after murder of lawyer Derk Wiersum
AMSTERDAM – The suspects of the murder of Amsterdam lawyer Derk Wiersum have their first appeal session in the extra-secure courtroom at Schiphol on Wednesday morning. They were previously sentenced to 30 years in prison for the shocking liquidation. At the start of the pre-trial hearing, a remarkable announcement was made to the media: the court asks court artists not to depict suspects in a recognizable way.
