The counting of ballot letters left behind in the Berlin district of Lichtenberg has not changed the ranking in which the parties emerged from the election to the House of Representatives.

Of the 466 second votes counted on Wednesday, 88 went to the SPD and 80 to the Greens. This would even increase the SPD’s narrow lead over the Greens a little.

The Social Democrats came second in the repeat elections to the Berlin state parliament – with a lead of only 105 second votes over the Greens. The clear winner was the CDU.

The postal votes from five constituencies in the Lichtenberg district that were now counted were left behind and were subsequently recorded.
