There are 100 days left until the start of the 2024 European Football Championship (EURO 2024), which will be hosted by Germany. The championship, which will be held in 10 cities in Germany between 14 June and 14 July, will start 100 days later with the opening match between Germany and Scotland at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

EURO 2024 will be hosted by the German cities of Berlin, Cologne, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Dortmund, Leipzig, Gelsenkirchen, Stuttgart and Düsseldorf.

The tournament’s group matches will end on June 26, and the last 16 rounds will start on June 29.

The quarter-final matches will be played on July 5 and the semi-final matches will be played on July 9. The champion of EURO 2024 will be determined with the final match to be played at the Berlin Olympic Stadium on July 14.

THE FIRST AND SECOND PLACES IN THE GROUP ARE DIRECTLY IN THE ROUND OF 16


A total of 24 teams will compete in 6 groups of 4 at EURO 2024. The teams that finish in the first two places in the 6 groups and the third place in the best 4 groups will advance to the last 16 rounds. Starting from the last 16 rounds, the tournament will switch to a single-match elimination method.

Türkiye IS IN GROUP F

The National Football Team will compete with Portugal, the C path play-off winner (Georgia, Greece, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg) and the Czech Republic in EURO 2024 Group F.

The Crescent-Stars will face the winner of the play-offs in Dortmund on Tuesday, June 18, in their first match. After the Georgia-Luxembourg and Greece-Kazakhstan matches in the play-offs, the team that will win the final will be Turkey’s opponent.

The national team will play its second match in the group against Portugal in Dortmund on Saturday, June 22, and its third match against the Czech Republic in Hamburg on Wednesday, June 26.

TOTAL PRIZE MONEY 331 MILLION EUROS

The amount of prize money to be distributed to the teams participating in EURO 2024 will be at the same level as EURO 2020, that is, a total of 331 million euros. The prize money distribution system for the teams participating in the tournament is as follows:

Participation fee: 9.25 million euros

Match bonus: 1 million euros for a win, 500 thousand euros for a draw

Qualification for the round of 16: 1.5 million euros

Qualification for the quarter-finals: 2.5 million euros

Right to advance to the semi-finals: 4 million euros

An additional payment of 8 million euros will be made to the EURO 2024 champion. If the champion team wins all 3 matches in the group, the maximum prize money it can receive will be 28.25 million euros.

The second place winner will receive an additional payment of 5 million euros.
