Cos starts with wholesale – Breuninger becomes a partner

The fashion retailer Cos starts the wholesale business.

The brand has signed three partnerships for the fall that will get the wholesale business off the ground, Cos parent H&M Group announced on Thursday. In Germany, Cos works with the Stuttgart fashion retailer Breuninger, in the USA with Nordstrom and in global e-commerce with Yoox.

According to the Swedish fashion group, the new sales channel is an important step in the brand’s growth strategy. This is intended to make the brand better known and reach more customers.

“Expansion into wholesale has been discussed for some time, but now is the right time,” said Cos Managing Director Lea Rytz Goldman. “We know the retail landscape is changing and we need to reach our customers – new and existing – beyond our own channels by partnering with world-class multi-brand retailers that complement our DNA.”

Cos is coming to US stores for Fashion Week

Cos will be available in Breuninger’s online shop from October. Not only the German market is served, but also Switzerland, Austria and Poland.

At US retailer Nordstrom, the brand will be available September 13 online and in physical stores in four stores in New York and New Jersey. At the same time, the brand is showing its current collection at New York Fashion Week.

Also in September, Cos will also be available from the online retailer Yoox, which belongs to the Yoox Net-a-Porter group.
