Ganni will continue to work with Provenance, a transparent technology company, in the future, the Danish label announced on Wednesday. This gives customers a deeper insight into the brand’s supply chain.

Ganni had already announced a partnership with Provenance in autumn 2021 – at that time for the leisurewear segment in the British market. The cooperation is now being extended to the carry-over styles of the denim segment.

Provenances backs Ganni’s sustainability statements with data and evidence from third parties, thus ensuring transparency. Customers can get step-by-step information about different stages of the item in the supply chain.

“Fashion supply chains are incredibly complex and we need to unravel them. I have a technical background and partnering with software solution provider Provenance as the first global fashion company goes hand in hand with our transparent, technology-driven approach to how we do business,” says Ganni founder Nicolaj Reffstrup.

The idea behind the collaboration is that “brands shouldn’t check their own homework,” as Ganni writes on his website. At the moment, the manufacturing process can be traced down to the raw material level, but this level is also to be included in the project in the course of the year.
