From this month, the Ministry of Defense will send the service letter for the second time this year. This letter has a survey about defense. Through the online questionnaire, young people receive information about the various options for working at Defense.
This survey is intended for young people who fall under the Framework Act and will be 17 this year or that are just. The survey can be completed on a voluntary basis and has no consequences. This year 200,000 young people receive this letter. Each letter is provided with a unique QR code. With this the survey can be filled directly. Filling takes about 5-10 minutes.
Defense contacts the young people who voluntarily fill in their contact details. An employee provides them with information about positions that match interests and skills and can discuss any follow -up steps.
Due to the deteriorated safety situation in the world, the armed forces will consist of 100,000 employees in 2030. In the following years, the Ministry of Defense must grow to a maximum of 200,000 employees.

The Defense survey is 1 of the new entry marks under the Dienst model. This includes all intake and transfer possibilities at the Ministry of Defense. Defense wants to encourage young people to make the step towards defense with the youth survey and thus increase the inflow. The DIVE MODEL includes several intake possibilities for soldiers. There are options to get started full -time, but also as a reservist.
For example, young people can work at the armed forces through the day or the Defensity College. There is also national resilience training. Furthermore, various HBOs and a university will start this fall with military minor programs. There are military options available for MBO students. Students are trained as a reservist through these programs. Furthermore, it is possible to close a study deal or to do an internship at the Ministry of Defense.
