The campsite is open from March 1 to October 31. No one is allowed to stay in the park in winter.

Permits despite proposed ‘barter deal’

The council states that it has conducted careful research. In July, the council proposed another complicated ‘barter deal’ to be able to keep the campsite, just like the farms along the Vogelenzangseweg. The latter group is under pressure because their land is part of the Netherlands Nature Network. The province wants to turn that land into nature. But the deal did not work out.

The fact that luxury chalets are now being built on the site is also partly the fault of the council itself. Those certain years ago when mobile homes were allowed to make way for chalets. At the request of the then owner, who wanted to modernize. The current council does not care that there will now only be holiday villas.
