During New Year’s Eve, considerably fewer incidents were reported to the fire brigade than in previous years. This year, the Drenthe Safety Region (VRD) received 86 reports, compared to 149 in 2024 and 131 in 2023. This is evident from figures of the Netherlands Institute of Public Safety (NIPV).
