On the Hoofdweg in Paterswolde a conifer hedge flew on fire this afternoon. The fire started at the back of the parking lot of the Albert Heijn and quickly expanded in a short time.
The fire brigade was alerted and quickly arrived to prevent further damage. Video images show that there was considerable smoke development. The firefighters used chainsaws to look for any firefighters between the bushes.
