Wiegman (52) is the first national coach to win the European Championship for women with two different countries. Five years ago she led the Orange squad to the title at the European Championship in her own country, now she also did the same with England.
None other than Queen Elizabeth was there to congratulate Wiegman’s team. “My warmest congratulations, and those from my family, go to all of you for winning the European Championship.”
Various English football clubs congratulated the football players via social media. The necessary congratulations also came from Formula 1, including from the British teams Williams and Aston Martin.
