With two intimate sessions at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, Paul McCartney warmed up for the next few months. Because then a new album, “The Boys Of Dungeon Lane”, will be released into the world, just waiting to be played live.

No tour dates have been officially announced yet, but there are currently many indications that it won’t be long. The likelihood of a European tour following the release of the record on May 29th with at least one concert in Germany is very high.

According to reports from French media and industry portals, Macca is firmly planning a return to Europe. There are concrete indications of performances in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg. Ticket platforms are apparently already listing placeholders for other locations such as Cologne, Frankfurt and Stuttgart. But these are just rumors.

Does Paul McCartney do it like all the other superstars?

Nothing is dry yet – and given the live plans of other musicians and bands of a similar size, it can be assumed that McCartney will increasingly focus on individual concerts or short residencies instead of classic, month-long tours.

Most recently, the Beatle was on the “Got Back” tour, but without appearances in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The 83-year-old was last seen on a long tour in this country in 2016. A singles concert in Hanover in 2020 was canceled due to the corona pandemic.

McCartney has spent much of his time in recent months reflecting on his time with the Wings. The (worth watching) documentary is running on Amazon Prime Video “Paul McCartney: A Man on the Run”.
