On April 13th and April 13th, two films will be broadcast on Arte, which deal with the history of the band and the gig by A-ha planned as a farewell concert.

On April 13th, Arte puts the band history of A-ha online as a 90-minute documentary film by Thomas Robsahm on arte.tv. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. “a-ha: The Movie” is there until July 12, 2023 in stream. It will premiere on April 14 at 9:45 p.m. on Arte on linear television.

“’a-ha: The Movie’ follows the Norwegian band on their tours and tells their story. The success of “Take On Me” in 1985 fulfilled all the musicians’ dreams early on, but also destroyed their friendship.

Afterwards (11.15 p.m.) follows a concert from 2010 from Oslo, which was actually supposed to end the band’s time together as a farewell concert. Things turned out differently – but the performance remained a special moment in the band’s history.

A-ha, as we know, are already touring the globe again and have released a new studio album in 2022: “True North”, a 10-track live performance. It was the first time the group had released new music in over six years, following “Cast in Steel” (2015). However, the “Hunting High and Low” tour was repeatedly postponed due to the corona pandemic.
