What do Sergio Conceiçao and Stefano Pioli, Sinisa Mihajlovic and József Violak, Gipo Viani, Clarence Seedorf and Christian Brocchi have in common? They are former Inter players who have sat – or have done so in recent hours, like the Portuguese – on the Milan bench. In the centuries-old history of the two clubs there are a total of six more Sergio Conceiçao. Everyone has completed the journey from the Nerazzurri to the Rossoneri with a CV tucked into their jacket pocket that boasts frequenting Inter fans. Militancy from players (in the last twenty years Conceiçao, Seedorf and Brocchi, plus Viani and Violak when Inter was called Ambrosiana), from coaches (Pioli) and even in both roles: we are referring to Mihajlovic, who after ending his career at Inter, he worked as Mancini’s deputy.
