Bayern Munich’s head coach Vincent Kompany injured himself in training shortly before departure to the club World Cup (June 14th to July 13th). The Belgian reported on media representatives on Tuesday afternoon when he arrived at the airport. “I was injured during training. Really!” Said the 39-year-old.
Kompany had not reached the team bus like his players, but was brought to the terminal in the car with athletic coach Bram Geers about half an hour later.
However, the blessing at Munich’s chief coach does not seem really bad. Video recordings spread from “Sky” show company in a good mood and smiling before departure. Nor did he limp when he headed towards check-in.
Vincent Kompany is known for having a training game in the final game. His active career is not for too long: The former world-class defender ended his career as a professional around five years ago.
