On! Fights Peter Vlemmix, Raisa Blommestijn and Tom de Nooijer say in various videos that the fine has to do with De Nooijer. Earlier this year on! Already reporting the intention of the CvdM to impose a fine. In a response, the CVDM states that the fine has been imposed because of several violations. These reasons are included in a sanction decision that has not yet been published. That is why not all reasons for the fine can yet be explained.
The Commissariaat contradicts that there is a “war” or “struggle” against ON! Or the presenters. The media watchdog says that there is room within the public system for the sound that on! represents. “But the same rules apply to ON! As for all other broadcasters,” says the CvdM. “The investigation about which on! Today reports has shown that ON! Did not take sufficient measures to prevent a conflict of interest, among other things.”
The CvdM says it does not make any further substantive announcements until the decision is published, but now to give a brief explanation because ON! has entered the public.
The broadcaster can still object to the fine.
