Great emotions on matchday 7 of the 2022/2023 Bundesliga season! While FC Bayern made a mistake in Augsburg, BVB won the Revier derby against FC Schalke 04. This is how the coaches saw their teams’ performances:

Daniel Farke (Borussia Monchengladbach coach): “We’re very happy, we deserved to win. The lads put in a fantastic performance. Our first half was very, very dominant. Our pressing was very intense, we were almost too greedy. We could have scored a lot more goals.”
Marco Rose (RB Leipzig coach): “It was difficult for us to settle in, in the first ten minutes we still had Wednesday in our clothes. We weren’t as determined as Gladbach. In the end there was a clear defeat. It was a very intense week that you have to classify properly. To us waiting a lot works.”

Edin Terzic (Borussia Dortmund coach): “It was a very intense derby and it wasn’t easy. We were very aggressive and clear, even if we didn’t have that many chances to score in the first half. We’re very happy. We knew it was going to be passionate and emotional, so we embraced that .”
Frank Kramer (coach FC Schalke 04): “We put up a great fight in a great atmosphere. We defended powerfully and gave little, but we couldn’t prevent the pressure from increasing. Unfortunately, we didn’t defend it precisely enough in one scene.”
VfB Stuttgart – Eintracht Frankfurt 1: 3 (0: 1)
Pellegrino Matarazzo (VfB Stuttgart coach): “We’re not satisfied with the performance and the result. Getting three set-piece goals hurts. After the 0-2 draw, the plug was kind of pulled. Gerardo Seoane (Bayer Leverkusen manager): “We saw different phases. The whole game lacked clarity in the last 20 meters. The timing, the conclusion. We are not efficient enough. We have to make one or two goals out of these situations. I can do less with the result live, we are disappointed about it.”
