The legendary Bonn post-hardcore band Fire in the Attic announces a surprising comeback. As the group announced on Tuesday afternoon via their official channels, they will play a one-off concert entitled “One More Chance To Dance” in Cologne’s Gloria on December 27, 2026. It is the band’s first confirmed live show in more than a decade and a half. She wants to perform again with the original cast.
The band was founded in Bonn in 2003. With her melodic post-hardcore sound, she was one of the defining German representatives of the genre in the mid-2000s, at the height of the commercially successful emo wave. Fire in the Attic were considered one of the most promising bands in the scene and shared the stage with international acts such as Billy Talent, Taking Back Sunday and Alexisonfire.
The band’s last self-titled album was released in 2009. The previous singer Ole Feltes had already left the band at this point and the British singer and shouter Thomas Prescott could be heard instead. The band finally withdrew from the public in 2010 and has been considered broken up ever since. The band had released one EP and four albums at this point. The announcement of a joint appearance with the original cast is all the more surprising.
Presale starts on April 20th
From then on, Richard Meyer and Dennis Müller played in the follow-up project KMPFSPRT. The band shifted its focus more towards German-speaking punk rock and established itself as an independent force in the scene in the following years.
Meanwhile, Ole Feltes switched sides and then worked in various functions within the music industry. Tickets will be available from Monday, April 20th at all conventional ticket offices.
