One year and three months after the diagnosis of incurable colon cancer, chef Tom van Lysebettens (35) of Cochon de Luxe in Ghent passed away. The last months of his life he described for HLN how he continued to fight against naughty tumors and for more time with his wife and children. His beloved Alison now describes her first holidays without her husband “It’s the little things that hurt the most, you have to carry them alone. Oh, how I missed his ugly Christmas sweaters.”
