The sporting goods manufacturer Adidas is launching a joint collection with the South African fashion designer Rich Mnisi.
In addition to sportswear, the collection also includes streetwear looks and classic shoe models such as the Superstar or the Ultraboost, the Herzogenaurach-based company announced last week.
Rich Mnisi founded his eponymous brand in 2015. His modern designs are characterized by bright colors and extravagant patterns that create a connection to his South African background and the Tsonga tribe.
Animal prints and abstract patterns adorn swimsuits, sports bras and accessories. The iconic three stripes and the Adidas logo fit naturally into the high-contrast overall picture. Accessories such as a bucket hat and belt bag complete the collection, which is partly made from recycled materials.
“It has been my pleasure to transfer my designs to classic pieces. We have created a colourful, one-of-a-kind collection that reflects my love for the idea of community and heritage, individuality and self-expression,” said Mnisi.
