Collision with car, no trains between Roosendaal and Bergen op Zoom

A car collided with a train at the Bergsebaan level crossing in Heerle on Thursday evening. According to the police, no one was injured. Due to the collision, train traffic between Roosendaal, Bergen op Zoom and Vlissingen in Zeeland will be at a standstill until at least nine o’clock on Thursday evening. This was reported by a spokesperson for the Dutch Railways (NS).

It is not known how the accident could happen. Police report that the rear of the car was hit by the train and that there was only material damage. The collision happened around half past six.

The NS has ordered buses to transport people between West Brabant and Zeeland for the time being.
