The city center of Hoogeveen is introducing a collective shopping ban. The entrepreneurs of the Hoogeveen city center want to jointly combat shoplifting, nuisance and aggression.
The collective shopping ban makes it possible for someone who commits serious nuisance or theft in an affiliated store to also be automatically banned from all other participating stores. The entrepreneurs hope that this will increase safety and shopping pleasure in the city center.
“We are proud that Hoogeveen is the first in Drenthe to take this step,” says Matthieu Luitjens of Buro Binnenstad Hoogeveen. “With this collective we increase safety and strengthen cooperation between entrepreneurs. This is an important investment in an attractive and hospitable center.”
The entrepreneurs received an explanation about the system during an entrepreneurs’ evening last week.
