The KNMI warns of heavy gusts of wind on Monday afternoon. Code yellow has been issued for the whole of the Netherlands.
On Monday afternoon there will be heavy wind gusts of approximately 75 kilometers per hour from the west for a short period of time, which mainly occur during showers inland. At the sea there is a warning of heavy wind gusts of up to 90 kilometers per hour.
Traffic and outdoor activities may be affected by the heavy gusts of wind, the weather institute said.
The weather warning currently applies in the coastal provinces and on the Wadden Islands from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, in the middle from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and in the east from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
