The KNMI has declared code yellow for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve. Revelers should beware of the strong wind.
The KNMI reports that there is a chance of heavy gusts of wind up to 90 kilometers per hour in the northwest. The wind gradually decreases in the course of New Year’s Eve. “Traffic and outdoor activities may be affected,” according to the KNMI.
Several fireworks shows have already been canceled in the province due to the strong wind. The light show will only continue on the Museumplein in Amsterdam, but no fireworks will be set off there either.
