Coach opens pop-up for upcycled and second-hand products

The US bag and fashion label Coach has opened its first “Tomorrow’s Vintage” store in London, a retail concept offering products from the Coach(Re)Loved program. The store is designed as a pop-up and will exist from October 27, 2022 to January 16, 2023.

Located in Spitalfields Market, Tomorrow’s Vintage tells the story of Coach’s more than 80 year history. The space offers a curated vintage shop with upcycled and repurposed furniture made by local designers. Bags from Coach’s archive collection are on display there, including vintage models from the iconic Bonnie Cashin era such as the Dinky, the Saddle and the Cashin Carry. Other activities include leather and personalization workshops, as well as an “In Conversation With” series where the house invites guests to discuss sustainability topics such as vintage, circular economy, thrifting and upcycling.

At the Coach Craftsmanship Bar, visitors can also take advantage of a range of services such as leather care, monogram service and personalization options with Coach Create pins and vintage patches. Local artists will also be invited to personalize leather goods with embroidery. In addition, Coach plans to work with independent London record labels to create playlists from their record collections.

The pop-up will also include a digital game element with an interactive scratch card where visitors can win a free Coach Create pin or patch.
