The Munich professionals are apparently denied a festive get-together on the occasion of the holidays. The reason for this is supposedly the tight schedule.
FC Bayern is apparently not holding a Christmas party this year for the team around captain Manuel Neuer and goalscorer Harry Kane. As the “Bild” newspaper reports, the German record champions have not found a suitable date. The two Sunday games against Mainz (2:2) and Heidenheim (Sunday, from 5.30 p.m. in the t-online live ticker) made a celebration on Saturday impossible.
Alternative dates on Sunday or Monday apparently met with little approval internally; many players would have preferred to forego a celebration.
In previous years, despite a busy schedule, the club had repeatedly found ways to organize a joint annual financial statement. At the beginning of December 2024, the team attended a dinner in the “teatro” dinner theater of the “Käfer” delicatessen chain, including a show program and guests from the family circle.
Until the Corona pandemic, such events were an integral part of FC Bayern’s annual plan. After the break due to the pandemic, the concept was adjusted: the Christmas parties were canceled in 2022 and 2023, and instead the club held a so-called “kickoff party” in the new year. According to the report, such a New Year’s reception is planned again for 2026.
On Thursday evening there was at least a Christmas party at the club premises on Säbener Straße. However, only employees from the non-sports sector were invited.
