The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom Cyber Security Center warns in its weekly review of fraudulent sites.
Although Finnish .fi-terminated websites are often perceived as safe, the mere end of the end guarantees that this is not a scam site. There have recently been several deceptive .fi domains to the Cyber Security Center.
Typically, under the guise of the .fi domain, for example, bank IDs are fished. According to the authority, such scam sites have recently been observed in the name of the National Board of Patents and Registration, the Tax Administration Income Register and banks.
-It is not about the website of these organizations, but about the scam sites that use .fi terminal to arouse confidence, says the Cyber Security Center.

“It is advisable to close the browser immediately”
The authority calls for carefully checking the entire address of the website, as the .fi terminal alone does not guarantee its safety.
-The same online address cannot be registered for more than one operator, so criminals often register addresses that resemble original but contain minor changes, such as incorrectly written words, added signs or interim lines.
It is also good to pay attention to the look of the site. Grammar or spelling errors and a confused or pruned look are clear warning signs.
If the links on the site are not working or guide the suspicious places, it may not be advisable to continue digging further.
-If the site is directed to a service that does not correspond to the name of the web address, it is advisable to close the browser immediately, the Cyber Security Center calls for.
