Climbing has become increasingly popular in recent years. More climbing halls and since 2020, climbing is also an Olympic Sport. The star in the Netherlands on the climbing wall is Amsterdammer Lynn van der Meer. “Always nice to continue with the win.”
With four Dutch titles to his name, Lynn van der Meer is a celebrity in climbing. Last weekend she more than lived up to her favorite role during a qualifying match for the Dutch Championship. She was the only one to reach the top of the route in the Mountain Network climbing hall in Amsterdam-West. “I think there was too little challenge for her,” says Aukje van Weert. The national coach of the Dutch climbing team accompanies Van der Meer.
