Climate stickers should pay for their eviction

The discussion about the eviction of Nerv-Glue becomes a political issue. The SPD and CDU now support the demands of the Berlin police union.

After the police union called for the costs to be passed on to the demonstrators, the SPD and CDU support this proposal.

It must be punished according to the polluter pays principle, according to SPD politician Tom Schreiber (43). After all, it would be about coercion and dangerous intervention in road traffic.

Background: The police union wants to protect the officers from complaints of dangerous bodily harm because they use hammers and chisels in the eviction. Companies that charge the adhesives for the costs should do this in the future.

CDU leader Kai Wegner (49): “The police enforce law and order. She deserves the backing and support of the Senate for this. The interior senator has announced tough action against the blockers, but has not delivered anything to date. Berlin’s Senator for Justice is also on the diving station. I expect that the Senate will now take all measures to clear the climate stickers quickly and safely. But it must also be clear: the adhesive chaos must bear the application costs themselves. Taxpayers should not be asked to pay for this nonsense as well.”

As the police announced, no complaints were received against emergency services on Tuesday. However, just worrying about it should not justify the transfer of sovereign tasks to third parties, according to a spokeswoman.
